about

DADGAD
Played on a Fraulini Ermida guitar.

I wanted to include a slower tempo piece in DADGAD to round out these recordings, but I didn't have anything written. I recently purchased a Fraulini Loretta parlor guitar which has a unique sound and verrrrrrrrrrrrry long sustain. I worked out the song on that guitar and did an initial recording, but it was somewhat pitchy due to the light strings in dropped tuning, so I redid the recording on my Ermida.

Fraulini guitars are built by Todd Cambio out of Wisconsin. They are wonderful instruments.

This song is about longing, striving, showing up, and putting in the work.
