For Ever (Soundtrack to a Father's Love)

from Some of What It Takes to Get There by Samuel Gray Edmondson

about

EADGBE
Played on a Jellinghaus La Leona, a replica of the famous guitar made in 1856 by Antonio de Torres.

I composed this song during my partner's pregnancy. At one point, I was playing the main theme and she said it sounded like a lullaby for our unborn child. As the piece took shape, it came to represent my love for the baby that had yet to arrive.

This is the last song I tracked for this EP. It was recorded in the early morning of August 31, 2022. Just in time! Ever Oli Edmondson, my son, was born in the early morning of September 1, 2022.
